Tilt Type: One-Handed Keyboard
Tilt Type is a keyboard made for typing with one hand. As you tilt your iPhone, the keys within easy reach of your thumb grow and the keys far away shrink, so you stretch less and hit the key you meant more often.
iPhone
How It Works
- Tilt Type follows how you hold and tilt your iPhone to work out where your thumb rests.
- Keys near your thumb grow and far keys shrink to make room, while every key stays in its usual row and order.
- Keys only resize when you pause, so nothing moves under your thumb while you’re typing.
- Left- or right-handed: tap the L/R badge on the keyboard to switch hands.
- Long-press the badge for Normal layout, a standard keyboard with no tilt.
- Calibrate your grip once in the app, then fine-tune tilt sensitivity and resize intensity.
Familiar, Full-Featured Typing
- The layout you know, with 123 and #+= symbol pages and press-and-hold accents
- Autocorrection, word suggestions and emoji suggestions in most languages (press Backspace right after a correction to undo it)
- Next-word predictions that learn from your typing, on your iPhone only
- Smart quotes and dashes in each language’s own style, the double-space period shortcut, and your Text Replacements from Settings
- Auto-capitalization, caps lock, character preview, key sounds and haptic feedback
- A return key that says Go, Search, Send or Done, just like the built-in keyboard
37 Languages
- Regional versions of English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch
- Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, North Macedonian, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian

Private by Design
- No network access, no analytics, no ads and no account.
- What you type, the words Tilt Type learns and your calibration stay on your iPhone.
- Full Access is optional. It turns on haptic feedback and key sounds, and lets the keyboard remember changes you make on it, such as switching hands.
For Every Hand
- Follows Dark Mode and Increase Contrast, and works with VoiceOver
- A Practice tab to try the keyboard and watch it adapt before you use it everywhere
- A live preview: drag your thumb across it to see the keys respond
